Printers Fair Letterpress Poster
Texture and embossing created by letterpress is a printmaking faux pas but a sought after dialect by graphic artists that holds as evidence to hand made craft in a predominantly digital profession.
This is a letterpress poster I created to promote the Los Angeles Printers Fair. The goal was to twist the poster to cater the style of the Night Shift. As a group we decided that it was equally important to draw in a different crowd to the fair than is typically reached with the fairs branding and advertising. The fair originated as a place for fellow printers and letterpress enthusiasts to meet up and share their passions but over the last year the popularity of letterpress has blown up and its important to reach out to people who are interested in print making through the practice of graphic arts and those that enjoy the craft nature of letterpress.
