Vinylmation Mickey Mouse
The strength of a brand is in its message and its recognition. Disney's Mickey Mouse is a prime example of instant visual recognition. You can reduce Mickey to just a color palette and still retain recognition, or in contrast you can remove all of Mickeys distinguishing colors and still know who he is. In fact, part of the genius behind Mickey Mouse is how simple he is. Three circles make the basic shape of mickeys head, and if you inspect illustrations of Mickey you will see that the animators never draw perspective to his ears, they always appear as near perfect circles, even from a side profile view. At his most iconic reduction Mickey can even be cut down to just his head and even further as just a black silhouette. Even at such a reduction of three circles, one larger and two orbital smaller circles, most people around the world would still recognize him instantly. Mickeys head has become so recognizable that its not uncommon to see him in everyday shapes and objects.. or other planets.
